Ok so I put this deck here since I don't see it yet in the database!

This deck is reeeeeeeaaaally good...

I mean Tarkin is reeeeaaaaaally good with pretty much anyone... Let's hope they don't nerf him right away! xD

The 7th sister/Tarkin deck is quite working the same way, rush the upgrades, roll in buckets of dice, and do stuff, and damage, and stuff, and other damages etc...

The deck can push so much damage, so quickly. Tarkin's ability changes an average 4/5 damage to a 8/9 damage per round. Not mentionning it's focus to be sure you hit those direct damage (or phasma's special for the kill) AND/OR the discard to remove the mitigation before rolling phasma...

I recently tweaked it a little, added more mitigation, and all in because, well, at the 2nd round, you're often rolling the max 10 f***ing dice into the pool...

UPDATE AFTER REGIONAL : This is the list i brought to the regionals in Paris, and anticipated certain cards. Didn't go that well ( Made top 8 when we only were 14... I also made some big mistakes playing too quickly some best defense, when the card is not meant to force focus on one character but to balance the damage between both character for survivability... (slightly different way to play best defense - since both character need to survive - than an easy BD on a random trooper!)

Still the deck IS solide, but yeah eventually needs some thinking (3+ characters will always be a problem for indirect damage, so adaptation on rushing down a character is crucial)

Rend is vandalize for the poor and villain, it did some very good work against some so despised holocron, running interférence, force speed and chance cube. I even tend to count it as a mitigation card :)

If you notice, I have a total of 14 grey cards, which means I surprise much Kylo2 when it hits not as often as expected :D after each kylo2 I met, I had to give them the trick of my list.

Three steps ahead and crush the rebellion are the singles, because both can stick to the hand for their price, and both are a little redundant with other cards in 2x, but can fill that little spot perfectly in some situations.

holdout and e-11 for redeploy are just fine. Removed grenades because you never want to spend the ressource. Datapad is perfect for the surprise special chaining with phasma.

If any experience, feedback, feel free to give advice! But try it, and get hated by everyone playing against you :D

If you like this archetype, let me know, and i'll try to add some detailed explanations!

Thanks for ready, an keep rollin' the dice!

I would leave the Fragmentation Grenade in because they are very good targets for Tarkin's Power Action. And since they are not resolved and just "removed", they do not cost a resource to keep. You can always replace them later (in the same turn) with a ambush blaster that, in the end, doesn't cost you an action to equip.

Also, good idea of adding the good old Datapad. I will remove one Captain Phasma's Blaster for it.

Yeah I really thought the grenade would act like this, but you never want to resolve some damage dice with tarkin's ability : when you power action 2 dice of indirect damage, you gain only 1 or 2 damage. But when you resolve 2 none damage dice, that's when the magic happens.

Also the grenade IS expensive and rarely efficient... the only side you will really resolve is the 3indirect, others will be hanging out, either waiting for another indirect damage that you would resolve anyway, or really waste a ressource to resolve 1, or end of turn in which case it would have done nothing ^^'

I understand that when looking at the upgrades, there are more none damage dice than real blasters, but I think that's how you get the best out of tarkin's ability. I might try to find again a spot for phasma's blaster because it seems still strong...

And thanks for following the list, and keep me up if you find anything else! :)

How has this deck worked out for you? We are having a Red character tournament out here soon.

I eventually replaced Phasma with a blue character. Added in blue mitigation and blue upgrades. Very different deck though. You could go with eAnakin or eKylo or the more popular Seventh Sister.

Red is still so low on good mitigation, you really need to be super aggressive to pop out a character on the first turn and indirect damage won’t help you there.
