My best effort to make a very frustrating disrupt/discard deck that can deal large amounts of quickly and limits the opponent's options at the same time. Still testing.

I aim to draw Cunning ASAP, because Hondo is usually the target of the bulk of the opponent's damage die so getting use out of it before he gets K.O.-ed is vital. Otherwise it's a dud. I'm considering only having 1 copy, but that just decreases my chance of drawing it? Of course, getting Supports like Hutt Ties, My Kind of Scum, and Salvage Stand out early are very much necessary.

One problem I've found with the deck is not being able to claim the battlefield a whole lot, but that might just be because of the decks I've been playing with.

Comments and criticism valued.

This looks like a pretty good start with two characters I really enjoy. I love building around Quinlan’d special but think it’s a really specific a ability. Please let me know how it plays

@cchristensonYeah I've found that it tends to end up being very useful when Hondo inevitably bites the dust. Usually early in the game I'm trying to hit Hondo's special heaps so I can afford higher cost cards or just deal large amounts of damage. However, by the mid game when Hondo's on his last legs I generally change tact and try to nail them with discards and etc. My upgrades are pretty all over the place at the moment, but apart from things that combo well with the characters (Cunning, Vibroknucklers, Psychometry, Datapad), I've just gone for things I find fun :) Mind Probe + Quinaln does create interesting situations for the opponent, though.

Warning: I versed this deck and lost... TWICE!!! I will get my revenge... maybe...

John Solo 2

oh and Maul's Lightsaber to go along with Psychometry? Then you can power action that thing back in. You could also do that with and X-8 Night Sniper since you should have money to turn the die.

edwardrekishi 168

@MakaniC I'm only getting stronger... @John Solo Emperor's Favour I definitely think I could squeeze in :) I could probably drop Datapad for a copy of Dark Counsel or Temptation, and lose something like Ancient Wisdom to double up on one. Re Maul's saber, removing a die with Pyschometry is optional I believe: "You may remove that die". And with the X-8, I just don't really have any consistent ranged damage outside of it to deal so I don't think it would synergise all that well.

Chance Cubes. Helps with money, then when you are ready to use Quinlan's ability, don't pay for their use and let them pop back to your hand... same as drawing 2 cards.

edwardrekishi 168

@Vondoom13 Agh, you're totally right. That's a really good thought. I'll have to test that some time.

Widerling 14

I am your Father could be sth ...

edwardrekishi 168

@Widerling Hmm, in terms of the other cards here, I don't think I'd use it (as a 2cost) over either cheaper cards or things like Abandon All Hope. I can only have so many cards in a deck ;)

This deck is good

Frankith 19

So does Cunning allow you to trigger your own specials as well?

John Solo 2

@Frankith yes. Any Special that is on the board, in play. So if you are playing against Boba, You will be able to use his own special against him.

Frankith 19

@edwardrekishi have you considered Sith Holocron in order to cheat in Cunning on Quinlan Vos - Dark Disciple or have you felt you don't have the deck space?

John Solo 2

Sith Holocron will only work with Blue Ability Cards. @Frankith

edwardrekishi 168

@Frankith Cunning is mostly there to keep triggering Hondo. That said, there is player in my local group who uses Vader (Apprentice) on his team and it's really fun against him ;)

Frankith 19

@John Solo true story, can't believe I forgot about that.

cchristenson 1

Any success with this prototype? Have you made any changes?

edwardrekishi 168

@cchristenson There was a second version ("Bargain Hunters"). But in the end I couldn't consistently make this deck work. Sometimes it was huge, sometimes it went very poorly. I might attempt to build it again some time, but for the moment I'm running some Red/Blue villain decks :)
