This deck is extremely fun, highly competitive, and dirt cheap to build which is great for noobs. Does require 2x Boba Starter and 2x 2 player set cards though. The main strategy is to set up alternate sources of damage knowing full well 3+ of your guys are going to bite the dust. It's not great against mill but has an excellent track record against 2 character decks.

The cards: Wombo Combo: Imperial Backing + LR1K Sonic Cannon or Ground Battalion turn 1. This is always what you want to set up early if possible.

Direct Damage Dealers: Armored Support Attrition No Survivors These all help finish the game as your opponent will be spreading their damage like peanut butter. 2 Attrition out early can often be frustrating/impossible for your opponent...(how do I kill your guys without losing?) Not much in the meta to stop it other than Vandalize but it doesn't come up a lot.

Indirect Damage Finishers Scorched Earth Strength in Numbers These can hit for 4-5 usually. Ground Battalion helps to set up Scorched Earth, I tried running Lockdown but it's not really worth a card slot. If you have Scorched in hand against a well-upgraded opponent it may be a good idea to claim early ensuring usage for max damage. These cards are the heart of your damage output if you don't get your wombo. The 2 resources are tough but you can find a way to fit in one more if you get some of the resource generators running. Drudge Work combines well with Strength in Numbers

Resource Generators Aftermath Drudge Work Crackdown I almost never will play my 2 big supports for full cost in the first 2-3 turns unless I end up with 1-2 Drudge Work 2 is not ideal. Aftermath makes it easy to get out Ground Battalion or LR1K Sonic Cannon. Gaining just a single extra resource can make a huge difference as most of your removal costs 1.

Removal Outnumber Flank Crash Landing The Best Defense... All pretty self explanatory. You NEED these in order to beat mill. The Best Defense... is simply that. Using it on a droid at 5 damage already and triggering Attrition and/or Aftermath feels great. My rule of thumb is to not use removal on anything less than 2 damage ever.

Fort Anaxes - Anaxes is fun to use in conjuction with Battle Droid's ability. It should usually be picked if your opponent's got 1 damage sides on their character dice. 2 shields though against folks like Kylo Ren - Tormented One, Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Master, Poe Dameron - Ace Pilot, Hondo Ohnaka - Respected Businessman. Sabine Wren - Explosives Expert can be a rough matchup. If I don't get the wombo and she bursts a droid down turn 1 it's probably not going to go well.

I'd really like to see this deck used more as it's so fun and truly competitive if played well.
