Here we have Padme, all peace and justice and democracy, conspiring on the sly with Saw and his mates who love to blow stuff up.

Strategy: mill and discard away! Try to stay alive long enough to Save the Dream! You can expect Padme to be targeted first, so play defences accordingly, an early Diplomatic Protection on her is sound. Second Chance is always good, who doesn't like to not die, or live a bit longer? Well, ok, maybe Saw in Rogue One ... "Come with us!" "Nah, it's alright, you go, I can't be arsed, I've had enough."

Build a discard engine with Con Artist, Padme, Partisan's ability, and all the discard-cards-from-hand events. Experience suggests your opponent will likely choose to discard a resource when you play Local Patrol, but it's all good: that sets them back, and the long game suits you just fine, it takes a while for Padme to get legislation through the Senate after all. An early Scrap Heap will pay serious dividends. If you don't choose the battlefield in set-up, put your shields on Padme.

Character longevity is especially important here because all your damage is indirect and you might not defeat any characters. Into The Garbage Chute is key, and Electroshock, Dangerous Mission and Fight Back support that, plus the specials from Infiltrate and Roguish Charm. Play Infiltrate on Saw. You might think he's not capable of infiltrating anything much these days apart from clubs for members with a cyber fetish and respiratory disorders, which is pretty niche, but when you consider two of the most powerful Imperial characters are Darth Vader and General Grievous, the Empire is probably littered with such joints, so he'll blend right in.

This deck doesn't need any ships but Smuggling Freighter is there because it's Star Wars and the ships are cool so I decided early with this game that every deck must have enough ships for the characters to get around in.

I only play casually with friends so this is not designed for tournament play.
