This deck revolves around Shadow Caster. Get it on the table asap using Armored Reinforcement then load it up with mods. You can get it on the table first action if you're on your . The Rebel Engineer will make sure you have a healthy supply of mods, plus with 9 in the deck (including BB-8) you'll be drawing a few. Ideally you want to get a Triple Laser Turret on the Shadow Caster quickly to protect its die, which is a very achievable round one goal.

You should get multiple activations out of the Shadow Caster through a combination of R2 Astromech, the N-1 Starfighter (which you can auto-resolve if you get C-3PO on the table) and Strategic Planning. With all the in the deck, you should be able to consistently resolve the 6 for 0 or 1 a couple of times a turn, plus whatever you can get out of the Laser Turret.

If your opponent is firing at you, kill off L3 early and mod her up on the Shadow Caster to save on actions and make those re-activations hurt even more.

The N-1 Starfighters and Y-Wing are there to prevent mods becoming dead cards if you find yourself with late game. The Rebel Engineer will pull an extra card for you to give you an extra re-roll a turn when you've loaded up your ships. BB-8 is great for or and you'll get to use him twice on the turn you mod him.

Removal suite is pretty cheap (1 cost 2, 3 cost 1, 2 cost 0, 2 cost X) but not very extensive. In future edits I might drop a Y-Wing or the Targeting Astromechs to give myself a bit more mitigation (these proved useful on testing for ramp, but the mitigation might prove to be more useful in the long run). You've got lots of dice spare, so Loth-Cat and Mouse is great, especially if there's an evil around like AT-ST, another N-1 Starfighter or Force Rend. Aerial Advantage is ridiculous but you need the . Turn 1 and remove 2 dice for 1 ! And remember you can still remove 2 even if the Rebel Engineer is dead. Worth claiming early if you're holding this. Friends in Low Places will protect your Shadow Caster die. Outgun is simple spend X to remove X dice. Suppressive Fire and Beguile for some other quality removal, especially as both circumvent new Vader's ability. Caution and Force Illusion are there to protect your characters. Put the Illusion on Ezra for the free draw.

Because the deck tutors up the Shadow Caster and mods, ditch these cards on the mulligan. You definitely want to see a Friends in Low Places to make sure you can generate enough to hit the ground running round 1, plus it's dead when L3 becomes a mod.
