Qui-Gon Jinn is played as normal: Lots of shield dickery. Finn does most of the damage. There are a lot of resource methods in this build (Smuggling, Datapad, Diplomatic Immunity) with an aim towards throwing out that surprise AT-ST when your opponent least suspects it... It's also nice that both Finn and the AT-ST have shield facings, for assisting Qui-Gon.

UPDATE: After playing this a little bit, I've made a couple of changes. Traded the Lightsaber for Luke's variant (gotta get them shields), traded the heavier blasters for the Holdout (gotta get them shields), added the Black Market (gotta get them shields), basically just tightened the focus to shields. Also upped the dice control a little bit, reducing the number of cards that counter the overall 'get them shields' strategy (like Riposte) in order to get some control (like Electroshock). The AT-ST is still in there, because many opponent's either A) forget what Finn does, or B) assume he's just going to be bringing a blaster. When that AT-ST hits the table, the look on your opponent's face is worth way more than six resources! :D

At first look this deck seems relatively slow. How often do you get to claim the Battlefield? If it's not that often, is it really worth the trouble or would you rather use something that doesn't slow down your own damage dealing?

One of the strengths of this deck is that the damage is consistent, albeit slow. The good thing about Echo Base is that it's not devastating if your opponent grabs it, but can allow you one last hit if you grab it. If speed is a concern, you might find it worthwhile switching 2x 'Use The Force' to 2x 'All In' for that rush, but I find it's a consistent variation on the lots of shields for Qui-Gon theme.
