This deck tries to leverage Force Villain's robust suite of sides, with a few changes to hopefully get more mileage out of Kylo's game changing

Make sure your is SPECIAL!

The knock on Kylo right now is how 'swingy' his damage can be. There's nothing more devastating to a round than to activate his special only to do 0 or 1 damage, but when you do hit that 3+ cost - you are in the driver's seat! Pulling the Strings looks to have value in a deck like this. Gaining information on what is coming from your opponent next turn gives you the opportunity to plan accordingly. If you see a couple 3 or 4 cost cards, you know to prioritize activating Kylo and getting that special off. If all you see is low cost events, prioritize Darth Vader and his ability to limit their options, or simply look for faces. Wasting rerolls to get fruitless results can have long lasting consequences. You'll be moving pretty fast with this deck, so Jedi Temple can also give you precious information on how to shape the upcoming round.

Upgrades/Support

Datapad has wonderful synergy with heavy decks, and it also gives us much needed , the same with It Binds All Things. The remainder of the force powers are your typical blue fanfare. Power of the Dark Side can add damage when paired with Sith Holocron or Datapad rerolls due to the double results. It is always important to give yourself multiple ways to deal damage, both with dice and out of hand (I wish I had another Force Strike)!

Events

Here you'll find some of the staple control cards, so those don't need much explanation, and I've already spoken to Pulling the Strings. Close Quarters Assault may seem a bit surprising here, given this is not a mill deck. I find that removing cards from a player's hand really limits what they are able to do. With both characters having a solid chance of getting results, it's not uncommon to 2+ cards from their hand.

Overall, I believe this deck provides more consistency in an archetype that may have lacked that adjective in the past. Please let me know if you think there's some cards I may have missed that would work well with what I'm trying to accomplish. Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

Interesting build. Looking forward to trying it out. How has it performed against some of the top builds so far?

I didn't do so well against a Jango/Veers deck this weekend, but I have very little experience with that matchup and already know I didn't play it correctly. Even if I had, I reckon my 3 character deck would have a better chance of winning than this one.

All that said, the basic idea of the deck did play out as expected. Getting Pulling the Strings worked out pretty well, since I could put all those nasty upgrades on the bottom of the deck (delaying the nastiness of Jango) and when I did see a IQ Rifle, I was able to hit it that next round for 3 damage.

I really want to get this deck up against a hyperloop deck - I think it would do quite well!

Without any Force Choke and one copy of Force Throw, what would you consider replacing those with?

Rugmouse 68

@AlreadyPickedI would say Force Training would be a good add if you're missing Force Choke. You're losing some decent control here, so maybe throwing in some Use The Force would help alleviate that, but you do lose some efficiency. Force Training does offer you some flexibility though, being able to shield up is very effective against Jango/Veers and other heavy aggro decks. I chose Immobilize over Hidden In Shadow, but if you don't like my other options, that could be a decent add here as well.
