I have been playing this deck non-stop lately. The general premise is for it to be as resource efficient as possible while still maintaining consistent elements of control, mill, and survivability,

I find that I prefer to have the shields. Between having the shields, plastoid armor, field medic and the control elements (flank, block, dodge, and electroshock) they can sustain a reasonable amount of damage. By taking the shields off, I find that they are more likely to die. The goal is to normally put Scout onto the character not getting attacked (usually the Jedi Instructor) so that there is consistent discard opportunity towards the end of the game (which is where this deck suffers.) I have had the opportunity to play against a number of stronger decks (Rey/Qui Gon, Mace/ Padawan, Rainbow Nines, Thrawn/Unkar, Cad Bane/Phasma) and I have a strong win rate against them. I also like this deck because it's cheap, doesn't have to worry about expensive upgrades getting bounced and won't suffer as much to things like Secret Mission, either Kylo, Unkar, and anything that needs to guess on the card pull. |
