Thanks for the suggestions but I am a man that enjoys flavor. You can't have a vehicle Han Hera deck without having their ships. Not a big fan of quadjumper or lead by example. All of my events cost zero so I should have plenty of resources for Han's pay to play sides. I've seen and played many of decks trying to get out vehicles and or upgrades but sat there and looked at a pile of resources while having 5 event cards in hand. "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid." Gain a shield remove a die get a big blaster. Sounds great. My comment was poetry not explaining how cards work. If you have ever gotten to play second chance 5 times in one game then you could understand Jakku. Also if you run into hand disruption or mill you can get back your vehicles. This is a rough draft subject to change, thoughts of all kinds are appreciated. |
You're a man of flavor, have to respect that! I also respect your opinion on lead by example, it has to be tested a lot and is a certain playstyle... Your choice! :) I play it on my Poe/Ezra, and it did me some games (hit'n'run Poe, roll a Y-Wing, it's strong... Still works with Hera!) You are talking about the DL-44 while I'm talking about the DH-17! Totally agreed on the DL-44 so strong, dice removal and ambush is crazy. In opposite, the DH-17 doesn't do that much and might be a thing of testing something else. The X-8 took it's place in most of my decks, that's all I'm saying! For Jakku, I understand it thank you and did see that happen once, but it was my opponent struggling to make survive Han after he was alone trying to roll some damage, resolving them, AND equip second chance 5 times indeed! Just looking for some out-of-the-box useless battlefield for the opponent and a powerful one for the deck, and not only for one or two cards but being relevant for the maximum cards possible. Example : district port gives you potentially 8 more cards with ambush so keeping tempo and shields up for Han, giving hold on even more sense... Never tested but on paper seems pretty strong, gives survivability, and more suprising for the opponent than recycling the second chance after you claimed. And if you are sitting on ressources, why not even enter reversal in the deck? Big cost event that can do some miracles! And my bad for the poetry, got it now! :) |
Its all good. I played in a 9 person tournament tonight at one of my LGS's. There was a lot of Tier 1 decks but I luckily only had to play two. Round 1: R2P2 - Loss Round 2: eSabine eEzra - Win Round 3: eAhsoka Qui - Win Round 4: Sabine Ahsoke - Win There is a couple of tweaks that I am thinking about but it was actually pretty good, Falcon or U wing on turn one is a beating and I did it 3 times. Might just take out Planned Explosion but it's one of my favorite cards. Oh well I just like to have fun. Try this out make it your own or whatever and thank you for the support! |
Garbage'll do and unpredictable are good ambush cards to include (both 0 costs) i would add a small touch of removal (defensive postions because you are fast, and electroshock) Id cut planned exsplotion and dh-17 for those and cut black one for another u-wing. I love this deck idea!! |
Having played against this deck and DarthSteves piloting it, it is a kick to the guts to keep having to face down Han with Second Chance. I must have tripped it 2 or three times, and I won by the skin of my teeth on lucky rolls. If it had gone to another round, I would have lost. I know you don't like Sound the Alarm that much, Reckless Reentry might be a good swap. Either that or maybe drop a single Logistics? I don't think you every actually needed it in our match. |

For consitency and for having tested them, I would strongly suggest you replace the ghost and black one for millenium falcon and U-wing, or even quadjumper maybe for the fact that it's potentially 3 ressource discount? Lead by example also quickens a lot the activation of supports, even 3PO :) Partnership is so good, I can say it's a must have in a support deck... see it as a hitnrun++ for a ressource AND no restriction for characters, bonkers!
Also aren't you afraid 14events are a little short? Maybe less upgrades for mitigation (dh-17 is reaaaallly unconsistent and could bother your ressources for something else ), since with han and his 2 ressource sides can put out some vehicles very quickly?
Also I didn't catch in your comment : sound the alarm when you roll out 10? The card rerolls only the opponent's dice...?
Last thing I have doubts concerning jakku, since you won't be rewriting that much upgrades IMO (is/was good in rey han for action cheats, not really here), maybe go for alpha factory, so that there is just nothing the opponent can do with it while you have a good discount on your vehicles!
I like the combination of han/hera combination :) Maybe give some impressions on your games? Hope you tweak the deck!
