My take on a Obiwan rey deck.

It’s like R2/P2, but with less shields and worse dice and a lot more actions. Hot dam Poe vs Obiwan

It’s like Quigon/Kanan, but with less shields and less consistent damage and a lot more actions.

So what does this combination have to offer? -lots of actions -My Ally Is The Force So let’s go over the different sections

THE ENGINE

we gotta get our actions somehow, and while overwriting upgrades did take a hit last errata that doesn’t mean Rey - Force Prodigy is slowing down that much.

Vibroknife - While the damage part got hit by the nerf bat the card still does work. Ambush on Rey all day

Force Speed - that really expensive upgrade that doesn’t need to be in every deck but still is. We like actions here so of course it’s in the list

Swiftness - turn any card into a vibroknife. I especially enjoy using it with Force Illusion and Plastoid Armor as a cheapo trigger, but works on everything really.

It Binds All Things - while no free actions here unless pair with swiftness(feelsbadtho) making other upgrades in the list cheaper works just as well. Still on the fence about running this one as I want to play with battlefields more. Gotta have if ya wanna play those MAITF tho

THE DAMAGE

So rey is the engine, that means Obi-Wan Kenobi - Mysterious Hermit needs to help get some damage out. Luckily his dice are almost as good as Poe’s and are also blue so we have lots of tools to use with them.

MAITF - I’ve mentioned this card like 5 times now with Obi’s dice you can make miracles happen here. I really wanted to try playing One With The Force in the deck as another combo target but I need to see what I would cut and if I can afford it first

All In - it’s that other card that’s really good with focus sides. We use focus sides. Woo!

Ancient Lightsaber, Shoto Lightsaber, Vibroknife, Rey's Lightsaber and Handcrafted Light Bow - weapons that deal damage and mostly use melee sides. The deck certainly needs redeploy but lightbow and shields and shoto costs 2. On the fence about these.

DEFENSE

Not dying is just as important as punching things so half the deck needs to try and prevent that. Depending on circumstances Obiwan does have guardian, but preventing damage by taking damage may not work out too well unless you really dislike vibroknife. Not about to explain all of these but

Plastoid Armor - surprisingly nifty heal 1 damage. It combos nicely with swiftness and it’s another grey card for Kylo to chew

Caution and Guard - with only 3 character dice these guys are certainly harder to pull off, but I really think they are just too good not to use

BATTLEFIELD

Still not 100% on this one. Moisture Farm - Tatooine is my safe choice to let me play MAITF when I need it but I almost want to use something more aggressive to go with my speed, like Carbon-freezing Chamber - Bespin or Cargo Hold - Eravana. Or I can be like the other mono blue decks and go with Obi-Wan's Hut - Tatooine, but that just makes picking battlefields easy for my opponent. Any help on this one would be appreciated.

CARDS I AM THINKING ABOUT

Holdout Blaster - the OG action cheats. I want this in the deck but I am worried about having too much economy. The redeploy is awesome but outside of that and extra actions it’s a kinda dead die. Maybe someone can help me figure out where to put it or something.

One With The Force - mentioned this one earlier, the sides are all fantastic for what this deck does but it’s a 4 cost upgrade in a 2 cost meta. Why pay more for less raw damage?

Figure I try one more build with this before swapping to something with shields in it. Any suggestions would be helpful!
