This is another take on the 5 die villian deck. This deck is focused on self preservation more than aggression. Play is pretty straighforward...roll , use removal on their really hot rolls, try to stay alive.
Force Illusion, Armor Plating, and Witch Magick are specifically for staying alive. When it looks like one of your characters is being targeted (Bala-Tik - Gang Leader is usually first) then use these to keep your character from dying. If they work they way they should, Plating prevents 2, Force illusion prevents 2-3, and Witch magick heals for 3, so that's a total of 15-16 damage you can prevent if you're careful.
24 out of the 30 cards in this deck are odd and will trigger Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch's ability, allowing it to be used almost every time on your dice. Crystal Ball gives you the ability to check their deck so you can use Talzin's ability to occasionally out one of their critical rolls as well. The 6 that do not are blasters, so you can further increase the likelihood of this by hard-mulliganing for 1-2 of these in your opening.
