FN Maximum Efficiency with Deck Analysis

Characters

FN-2199 Since being nerfed by the upgrade overwrite limit and the 2-point cost increase, FN has largely been overlooked as a viable character. However, what others have not realized is that his ability is still incredibly potent. By playing a weapon and overwriting a weapon for each of the first three turns, you can still deal extensive damage to the opponent’s characters. In addition, having 3 unmodified die sides and 11 health makes FN an ideal primary character at a reasonable cost.

Mother Talzin With her inherent focus ability, Mother Talzin is an excellent pairing for FN, because not only does it allow you to run profitable connection, but also ensure FN’s ability is able to be utilized to the max.

Plot

Profitable Connection Immediately being able to play 3 cost weapons with FN’s ability is devastating. Additionally, the ability to play a 2 cost weapon and still mitigate an opponent’s dice during the first turn oftentimes can guarantee a victory.

Upgrades

The intention of the deck is to ensure that every turn, one weapon can be played on FN and a second weapon can overwrite the first. As the standard deck contains 30 cards (or 6 hands of 5), I have included 12 weapons to provide the greatest statistical likelihood that each hand will contain exactly 2 weapons. Each upgrade selected contains 4 unmodified die sides, which can be immediately resolved with FN’s ability. Additionally, 8 redeploy weapons have been included, with the goal being to equip them to FN before he is defeated (2x Z6 Riot Control Baton, 2x Lightsaber, 2x Holdout Blaster, and 2x F-11D Blaster).

Battlefield

Moisture Farm- Tatoine: This character pairing is not as fast as many decks in the current meta, thus moisture farm seems the ideal choice. It provides a benefit when you do claim, but fails to deal damage or remove your dice if you do not claim.

Events and Mitigation

Feel Your Anger: Potential to remove multiple dice, especially in the current meta is ideal. Overconfidence: Both re-roll and removal help to mitigate large combinations. Shrapnel Blast: Dealing a damage and removing a die is never a bad thing. Traitor: Removal with ambush provides some interesting combinations and with all cards costing more than 0, I believe this card is highly underrated. Witch Magic: Consistently healing two or three damage points is incredibly potent.

Strategy

The strategy of this deck is to simply utilize FN’s ability twice per turn. If, when using his ability, the die rolls an unresolvable side, activate Talzin to focus the die to the desired side. Hypothetically, starting from turn one, you should be able to resolve at least 7 dice per turn, which is substantially more than most decks. To change the tide should you fall behind, the price of failure is included for the purpose of defeating FN and redploying the weapons to Talzin, with the hope of dealing a devastating mid-game punch.
