Upon spoiled Lor San Tekka - True Believer our play testing group discovered the 5 Die Rainbow Hero AR deck. Elite Lor San Tekka - True Believer, elite Satine Kryze - Hope of Mandalore and Gungan Warrior. Hopefully, playing a Shadow Caster early with enough resource generation to pay for Mods on the Caster early enough to spike an aggro win condition which is unmitigatable. Due to damage and reset volume.

However as was highlighted during testing the deck was very susceptible to poor draws/mulligans that left the deck struggling/failing to launch.

Therefore, we compared the seemingly better Elite L3-37 - Droid Revolutionary with 2x Rebel Engineer and considered the consistency of Mod discovery an essential element that the aforementioned deck needed in order to offset this poor draw situation. This caused us to speculate on the reduction of one character from elite to single die, in order to exchange the Gungan Warrior for the Rebel Engineer.

Concurrent to this design change we discovered the Entourage bolt on and discussed its inclusion but discounted it due to there not currently being a Scoundrel in the character line up.

However, with further testing the strength of Entourage became apparent and along with the worry of losing the AR'd vehicle early, to vehicle denial. We decided to go with the 'Entourage bolt on' (2x Entourage and 1x Fickle Mercenaries ). Previous list iterations included Rendezvous as it could be used to gain 2 resources without pay, with 'ambush' on Satine Kryze - Hope of Mandalore. As well as on occasions it could be used when a Shadow Caster didn't have enough mods to make a high damage side free!

But with the decision to drop a Satine Kryze - Hope of Mandalore making her single die. Despite the card being excellent in its toolbox nature it was dropped. But with the consideration of Entourage came the consideration of adding a Scoundrel character and with the discovery of the 2 side on Enfys Nest's Marauder and the Marauder's ability being based on claiming of his pay sides. We re-evaluated Rendezvous considering it a great addition if we replaced Satine Kryze - Hope of Mandalore with Enfys Nest's Marauder.

Further discussion had us considering adding Vader's Fist if we added Enfys Nest's Marauder. However we eventually discounted this in favor of a vehicle that could also buy into the Mods we are still fielding. It is then we fell back on our love of Firespray-31 from the previous Tobias Beckett - Thief For Hire and Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch lists of the previous meta. Deciding to try it out and the results were excellent. There is a reason Villain doesn't have access to R2 Astromech. The Firespray-31 loves this guy and opponent dependent whether you AR Shadow Caster or Firespray-31. You won't be disappointed.

With 9 Mods (BB-8 willing!) for 2 vehicles aided in consistency by Senate Chamber. The character line of Rebel Engineer finding mods, Lor San Tekka - True Believer cycling mitigation and Enfys Nest's Marauder driving damage and resources, whilst allowing access to Firespray-31. This deck is loads of fun... Meta? Time will tell but it has all the tools to hold it with the best of them. Consistently... who knows? But with Palp, Watto Entourage, Leia Lando Mill all causing decks to edge there bets on what the tech in to aid match ups with different deck archetypes. Maybe there is a place for a Caster/Spray deck with an entourage fall back plan!

I'll leave it there but happy to discuss (as our group has) what opponents would we consider needing the Firespray-31 over Shadow Caster or vica versa. For the best potential win scenario. Enjoy!
