Weapons, dice removal and damage shifting are the name of the game in this deck. Winning the opening initiative happens pretty often thanks to Ackbar and the Hired Gun (that 3 ranged damage is great). I also love that this deck would be very easy to build as a budget conscious player as it has zero legendary cards in it.

I've always been going with my opponents battlefield in matches and putting the two shields on the Padawan to get the squad total to 27 hit points.

The goal the first round is to maximize getting upgrades out on the trio. Dh-17 is great to see in your opening hand, two of them is even better. You can get both out right away with your opening money. Their blank filled dice aren't a big deal thanks to the double focus on Ackbar's two dice and the focus on the Padawan. Typically you will also be able to get out a Lightsaber or Rey's Staff on the Padawan round one thanks to the Padawan's ability and the supply generation thanks to the great supply dice provided by Hired Gun and Ackbar's dice.

Once you get some upgrades out the name of the game is shifting damage around and removing dice with your 0-2 cost event cards. Once again money isn't an issue thanks to Ackbar/Hired Gun. I routinely going into a round with 3-5 resources.

Also I've found discarding tons of cards for re-rolls ins't the best as you typically want to claim once you've done some damage. That opens up the Defensive Position/Dug In Cards to be used to their maximum effect.

I've played eight games with this deck and I'm 6-2. The two losses came in games I tried Scout in the Deck instead of DH-17. Scout is a great pair for Ackbar, but I found the loss of damage output slows the deck down too much. If Sith Holocron becomes the main meta to tech against though, I may put scout back.
