OddballNarwhal 20

I took this version of Palpatine to a Store Championship, finishing 10th out of 36 players. It got a good start going 3-0, but then fell off against two Vader Raider decks. Still, I believe it is a decent enough deck, and is really fun to play.

Like with most decks featuring the Emperor, the idea is to resolve dice to put pressure on your opponent. Obviously, you want the damage sides (most times), but sometimes some shields or discard suits just as well. Resolving a non-damage first on your first turn can be handy, since your opponent may place the two damage on the character they care less about. This can give you a chance to focus your pew pew on the character they are trying to protect.

Obviously, this character is the definition of the Glass Cannon trope (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GlassCannon), so be careful. Fifteen health is a lot for one character, but obviously not for the team. A well timed Rise Again (using Premonitions if possible) is a life saver.

All in all, if you have the cards, throw this one together. It's more viable than you think.
