Use your upgrades and awesome focus/resource heavy dice to generate a ton of resources which you spend on high impact supports. The few events in the deck are there to keep you alive as long as possible.

Droid Commandos, First Order TIE Fighter, and Ground Battalion where all chosen due to their consistent high damage sides ,none of which are modifiers. In a pairing where you only have one character die with a single damage side, blue sides are really bad. This is why AT-DP did not make the cut. Commanding Presence's special sides make these supports lethal.

Detention Center and Separatist Landing Craft can be returned with Docking Bay - Finalizer by using Grand Moff's power action. Both of these supports will help keep you in the game the game longer. Detention Center takes some getting used to, while it is perfectly fine to let your opponent discard Detention Center with their primary character's second die, you want to avoid letting them discard it with a support character's die (unless you are bringing it back with the Grand Moff Docking Bay - Finalizer combo anyway.

Resource generating upgrades are used over events like Logistics because you can convert them to damage with Tarkin's power action. Plus they are repeatable and you have a ton of focus to make sure you get the best sides consistently.

While the deck does not need Battle Droid's to win, if you do get that engine going you can easily wind up with 3-4 of them by the end of the game. These extra 6 health bodies add up as by the point Tarkin and Thrawn are defeated you should have enough supports out that you can finish the job.

If you are up against a blue hero deck and are having a hard time getting through shields with indirect damage (First Order TIE Fighter should eliminate this problem most games) the deck can shift gears into a mill deck thanks to Thrawn - Master Strategist's ability and the 2 discard sides on Tarkin - Grand Moff and Grand Moff which can be further boosted by Commanding Presence

as Detention Center back to the game if the card says remove from the game?

Detention Center gets discarded not removed from the game if opponent removes a second character die. Docking Bay's claim action let's you play a support from your hand or discard for 1 less resource.

Normally, you will use the claim effect with Grand Moff's power action as the deck is too slow (due to all the supports) to claim normally.
