Thanks to thegandork for listing his changes to his list he got 6th with. The only I change I made was swapping a Retreat for an Entangle. I didn't expect a lot of long-round decks and wanted another 2-for-1. I traveled with SillyJedi, OnlyinAbsolutes, and two other friends down to Madison and two of us made top 8 with one missing on breakers. Pretty great conversion rate for us and a strong weekend overall.

Round 1: eAayla/Kanan/Padawan (Younglings) - Game starts off pretty weak on my end. I roll mono blanks and he gets an Heirloom on Padawan and deals 7 to Poe first round. I end up Vandalizing the Heirloom after my character dice don't want to cooperate. After that, he seemed to have a clunky draw and didn't do much for the rest of the game. He played an R2-D2 and some other upgrades that didn't really help him and I proceeded to mow down Padawan into Aayla into Kanan.

1-0

Round 2: ePoe2/eHondo - I expected this a lot, but surprisingly only played against it twice. His list was much different, featuring Runaway Boomas, Y-Wings, and Partnership. He focuses my Hondo while I gun down his Poe. In the late game, both of our characters are suited up, but Poe's dice are so much better, since I don't need the money anymore. X-8 into Hit and Run into 7 damage finishes off Hondo.

2-0

Round 3: ePoe2/eHondo - This was the other list that made top 8, featuring Holdout Blaster, Friends in Low Places, and Running Interference. My opening hand was insane with Well Connected, 2 Easy Pickings, Poe's Blaster and Fast Hands. Round 1 he uses Friends to take one Easy Pickings, and I use the other to remove both Hondo dice. I suit up Poe with his blaster and Hondo with Fast Hands, and use Well Connected to make sure I'm paying for Hondo next round. He couldn't come back from my start.

3-0

Round 4: eQui-Gon/eYoda - I was a little worried about Yoda being able to hog resources and negate the effects of Hondo, but he always spent the money on upgrades or removal. Qui-Gon gets gunned down quickly and he has a Yoda with only an Ancient Lightsaber against both of my near full health characters. I quickly end the game after that.

4-0

Round 5: eCienna/eBala/FOST (5 die Villain) - This was a surprisingly close match. I rolled pretty below average the whole game, but he telegraphed Bait and Switch pretty hard so I was able to play around it so he could never kill a character until super late. I'm able to outclaim him on the next to last round and kill him before he can roll out.

5-0

Round 6: OnlyinAbsolutes on eSister/eTarkin - I've always struggled against this deck, and Hondo definitely sucks against Chance Cube. Luckily for me, he saw no upgrades in the top half of his deck and I'm able to kill him with 1 health left. This matchup sucks, you need Vandalize for Chance Cube or you basically just lose.

6-0

Round 7: eKylo/eTalzin - I tested with this deck a little bit, but I didn't feel to scared of it. I gunned down Talzin as quickly as possible to she goes down Round 2, then I attrition out Kylo through his mitigation. He has 2 Nightsister Covens out which were doing work surprisingly. The game was closer than it needed to be.

7-0

Round 8: eObi/eMaz - I hope this man buys a lottery ticket after this match. The Easy Pickings and Electroshock in my hand do nothing as he only rolls one 3 side on activation and Maz always hit focus into the other 3. My characters decided to not roll damage this game. Hondo died early, and I proceed to draw all my "Spot a Yellow" cards. Super below average and disappointed I couldn't take it all the way. The matchup does not feel bad, but I got pretty unlucky.

7-1

We cut to top 8 and I'm 2nd seed. OnlyinAbsolutes finishes 7th at 6-2 and SillyJedi misses out at 10th also at 6-2

Quarters: OnlyinAbsolutes on eSister/eTarkin - Of course I play against the person I rode here with. Game one I was firmly in the driver's seat, being able to set up upgrades and Vandalize his, I deal with his characters pretty easily. Game two starts similarly, but he ends up rallying back after my draws and rolls putter out. Game three was a non-game: he had Chance Cube that I couldn't answer, my draws were pretty bad, and Poe died Round 2.

This puts me to 6th place, winning a playmat, damage acrylics, a Patience promo, and a two player playmat as a door prize.

This deck feels like it is pretty 50-50 across all matchups, which is great. One Planetary Uprising is the perfect number, that card won me multiple games during the tournament. The only card I'm iffy on is Cunning. As much as I love the card, it wasn't great here. I saw one Handcrafted Light Bow all day, and beyond that it didn't have that much potential. The die on it isn't great, and more Hondo specials is not what the deck needs. Rivals was not legal for this tournament, so I am going to try Verpine Sniper Rifle in it's place. Everything else felt great and like it had a place in the deck. There were some times that I wish I had one Impulsive in the deck to get people with Poe's 2 focus side. I originally had one but ended up cutting it for Entangle.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
