Make Grand Moff Great Again 2 2 3 1.0

Wow. What a fun deck. The idea behind this is playing ridiculously expensive cards for free. If this is inhibited, just deal lots of damage with your strong character dice with handy focus sides. Either way your opponent will be confused or preoccupied trying to remove high value dice or deciding to claim at an inopportune time to keep you off of Mean Streets - Correlia which gives you time to set up for next round. The engine is Mean Streets - Correlia, and with very consistent high rolling dice you are likely to win the roll for battlefield. If you dont get it, you have Grand Moff to get your battlefield back. You will always be looking for a title in your opening hand, cheap removal is good too, as is Conscript Squad, just depends on the deck youre playing against. Turn one your goal is to get 4 resources for a title, which means rolling one resource die as you get a free resource from Tobias Beckett - Thief For Hire. It is also not uncommon to roll 8 damage turn one. If for some reason you dont have a title in your hand(feels bad man), play a Conscript Squad. From this point , you should be trying to get at least 2 charges, if not 3 on your battlefield. I have noticed people go after Tobias Beckett - Thief For Hire first so you should try to put upgrades on Iden Versio - Inferno Squad Commander. This deck is truly oppressive if you can get a title out turn one. People will be afraid of Crime Lord and do anything possibly to keep its die out of the pool. Take advantage of this by dealing 6-10 damage a turn, whilst accumalting fat stacks. If you dont win, I guarantee you will have fun.

Card choices:

Conveyex Robbery: This card is really good at getting around Triple Laser Turret, and Darth Vader - Terror To Behold power action. Look for this card versus Shadow Caster.

Conscript Squad:

Should be obvious. This card is just straight value. You get to roll it out with Iden...so the early you get this out the better.

Once SoH is released I am planning on replacing 4 cards for 2x You are in command and 2x Admiral.

Grand Entrance

IMO this card is close to as useful as Reach The Stars. The reason I chose this card is because it puts your opponent on the defense and gives you time to setup for bigger plays. Feel free to substitute with Reach The Stars as needed.

Probe

With a deck that needs money to work it is always nice to have a few low cost, effective, cards in tow. That is exactly what this card does. Nuff said.

The Best Defense...

This card is sooo good in this deck! Your opponents, if intelligent, will be going for Tobias Beckett - Thief For Hire to keep you off of money and to make those spot a yellow character cards dead.

Also considering replacing conveyex robbery with reversal

What would you take out for the Admirals and You Are In Command Now?

I'm thinking 2x first claim, 1x domination, 1x tobias beckets rifle

Look I am not purposefully casting shade. Having played decks similar, but admittedly NOT THIS deck, I don’t now how you are getting the resources for crime Lord and grand Moff. Then you have in the crosshairs, domination and conveyex robberies and plenty of two. Nobody would like to see grand Moff work better than me, but you got 4 4 resource cards clogging up your hand. The best defense is soooo over rated unless you are using it in three wide against a droid or first order. Hyperloops has an article devoted to cards they see play that are just bad. While I think they are wrong about the best defense in ALL situations, it does get used too much because it is a recent of older decks where red didn’t have the removal love. Sinister, crash landing with bubble shield, and definitely measure for measure for the conscript squads. I would put x1 Imperial Officer to help with the dice and boost measure for measure...cost 0. Plus, you have some battlefield control removal that you should have on the cheap like hasty exit. Entangle is fine, but not in this load out. Something has to give.

This decks is about going fast, fast, fast. It is all about 6 action cheating cards that fuel it.

Tactical mastery, seize the day, and reach the Stars...both x2 =6 cards

Hidden blasterx1 Military camp Shakedown etc. (optional) X2 handcannons X2 a-300 Trucex2 Mega blaster x2 better than Moff and crimelord (need the truce) —— Add +2 cards, but the core below is proven. I really like shakedown (or if you want more aggression and cut to add add more mitigation For A price for use on Beckett, or his rifle, with having the 6 action cheating cards. However, I could be connived to use entangle, pulverize, paid off due to action cheating, by any means, doubt, free for all, vandalize, sniper team instead of megablaster if you add an imperial officer ( rout), So upgrades A-300x2 Handcannon x2 Tobias rifle x2 Hidden blasterx1 Riot shield x2

Conscript x2 Imperial officer x1 Mega blaster x2

Hasty e x2 Sinister x2 Seize x2 Tactical mastery x2 Reach for the stars x2 Truce x2 Measure for measure x2

Well First Claim and Mobilize will help with money, besides with Tobias Beckett - Thief For Hire you are guaranteed 3 resources per turn if not more if you happen to roll a resource or special with Tobias Beckett - Thief For Hire. Remember first turn you should be saving for a title. If you dont have a title in hand round one claiming before your opponent(assuming you have Mean Streets - Correlia) will allow you to gain momentum with expensive events for a discounted cost. This deck, although with characters that can be utilized with action cheat cards, loses momentum if die roll unfavorably or if your opponent survives to late game. Is this deck a worthy contender for tier 2 or even tier 1 decks? I dont know, but what I do know is it attacks at a vulnerable point. People dont expect you to be revolving their dice via Conveyex Robbery, or to be gaining 3+ resources a turn with Mobilize or First Claim. I would also say you are have undervalued The Best Defense... as there are no play restrictions and you can bounce the damage off of Riot Shield. Worst case scenario you are stuck with 3 cost events without Mean Streets - Correlia, which you can pay for if absolutely necessary. These events include the best removal in the game- In The Crosshairs, Conveyex Robbery (which will be rejoined(or replaced) by an equally heavy hitter Reversal , as well as Entangle and The Best Defense... will give you the time you need to reexamine your strategy if needed. I am confident enough in this deck's performance to post it here.

Please give it a chance before you dismiss it as a meme.

Love this deck, I too would make a few changes, I would remove the following cards:

Tobias Beckett's Rifle x1 Inferno Squad ID10 Seeker Droid x1 Domination x1 Grand Entrance x1 Mean Streets - Correlia x1

and add the following:

Military Camp - Kaller Imperial Officer x2 Truce x2

I would've suggested Megablaster Troopers but I feel that the deck does enough without it, and the cost of it might be too much with everything that you have as well as wanting to use Crime Lord.

I also like your changes that you're considering with the next set as well and look forward to seeing what you do with this. I love the combo and have run them myself, good luck.

Thanks for the great feedback, I have experimented with Military Camp - Kaller, and yes it is very good. I guess where I'm coming from is someone who is tired of seeing the same ol same ol. Everyone runs Military Camp - Kaller with this pairing. To me, it is refreshingly fun to play a mix of early game damage, and having a lot of late game potential via titles. I totally agree with the Megablaster Troopers comment. It is a little too bulky for this deck, as there are 4 4 cost upgrades (soon to be 6). Imperial Officer isn't a bad choice at all. I could see my self using it, I will have to experiment. I have thought about using Truce, which is phenomenal with Tobias Beckett - Thief For Hire's special, but I have noticed that I tend to already be swimming in resources, and it feels bad to have a spot in my deck that could be replaced with more powerful cards for something that my characters seem to do well with on their own. To be honest Domination is somewhat of a meme, but still fun!
