This deck is meant to be a nuissance. It's a high ceiling, low ceiling deck, which aims at dishing out damage fast. It's extremely vulnerable and volatile to certain counter types, but can battle it out with the best decks out there.

You are looking for Thermal Detonator, Planetary Uprising and Unpredictable (possibly Maz's Goggles) in your starting hand. Hard Mulligan. You don't really need equipment on your characters, maybe a DH-17 Blaster Pistol on Poe. The way you kill is by using Poe's special ability to roll out Thermals, U-Wing and Millennium Falcons.

Poe rolls out first (if you get a , wuhu ... if not, it's fine). Then Maz rolls out, most likely with a on at least one of her 2 , then you resolve the into Poe's and resolve that to send a Thermal Detonator at your opponent (that's 3 dmg per character). Then put down Planetary Uprising, this should put some pressure on your opponent to either resolve fast or claime. If you have other useful , resolve them next round, if not sit back, unpredictable high dmg. die, claim, put Thermal Detonator back, and let the funsy begin all over again!

CARDS: A180 Blaster is included for the unblockable special DH-17 Blaster Pistol because they are cheap, and will leave a resource for dice mitigation. Holdout Blasterspeaks for itself Maz's Goggles for the extra focus (the special is also nice) Second Chance - not sure about that one. Obviously meant to keep Maz alive, but it might be redundant ---- it might be going out of the deck. Thermal Detonator for that amazing 3 dmg. to all characters

Millenium Falcons (AWESOME 4 dgm. side) Planetary Uprising is an amazing card to put pressure on your opponent. Midgame it's going to be an extremely annoying card for your opponent. Against 2 character decks its a monster. U-Wing for the 2 dmg. to all characters.

Defensive Position can be a great defensive card to remove those explosive burst damages. Don't be afraid to use it just to remove 1 or 2 dice. Disarm to get rid of those pesky Vibroknifes. Dodge is a bailout card. Dug In for shields to keep Maz alive. Electroshock for dice modification. Field Medic to keep Maz alive. Hit and Run for a nasty round of activation with both Poe and Maz, then hopefully 2 focus into specials. New Orders to secure the battlefield of your choice. Unpredictable for modification.

Battlefield. I think the real discussion is whether Emperor's Throne Room or Starship Graveyard is going to be the best ... I prefer Starship Graveyard in order for Thermals to be recycled. Against low-health decks Thermal is a MONSTER.

I find that Poe wants Fast Hands to resolve that natural special at once after rolling. Further is the deck very sensitive to control and not having initiative. And Graveyard over Throneroom? I don´t know. This game draws so many cards that you don´t need to recycle TD over Falcon, U-Wing, DL-44 and maybe Lone Op imo.

Apart from that do I really like the archetype. Maz is the best running mate we could ask for Poe.

@Scactha you are totally right that Fast Hands is great for resolving the natural special on Poe, but I just find spots tight in the deck, but it has been in-and-out of the deck. The deck is super-sensitive to control, and claiming the battle field is paramount to the success of the deck.

Usually, if Maz can survive until round 3, you should be good though.

I disagree completely with your assessment of Fast Hands. You only get to resolve 1 di with Fast Hands, so either way your opponent can control 1 of Poe's dice. You have Maz and Goggles, so enough focus to turn the other Poe di to any side you want and resolve it with Ma's ability. Also, IMO the best BF is Frozen Waste, and you should run 2 copies of New Orders. Of course this is just my humble opinion. GL with Poe/Maz, it is pretty awesome.

why not Rocket Launcher, Bowcaster, Rocket Launcher over A180 Blaster, DH-17 Blaster Pistol, Disarm, Dodge ?!?! Emperor's Throne Room - Death Star II still the best one here... also Fast Hands really really big if opponent doesn't remove the other die u can do 2 special

Enfantterrible 171

I'm not a huge fan of the Rocket Launcher and Bowcaster in this deck because the requirement of resources to get the heavy dmg sides going.

I like to have the DH-17's because they are cheap, leaves a resource for defensive events, and gives you other options against different decks. The deck is not solely dependent on Poe's special to go off, but can also shoot it out (decently well).

Bigulf 821

Fast Hands does NOT prevent your opponent from removing one of Poe's dice. This us a common misconception I see a lot. You fast hands 1 di your opponent still removes the other.2 cents worth. Fast Hands is good to potentially increase the overall deck speed so you can claim more often, allowing yourself to use a more powerful BF like Frozen Waste.

Enfantterrible 171

@Bigulf, true - But I don't think I was implying that Fast Hands did not leave a die behind to potentially get modified by your opponent. My objection to Fast Hands is that I don't see it significantly bring strengths to the deck, which is already pretty strong as it is.

Scactha 888

Exactly. It resolves before being able to be controlled.

Fast Hands#fas is good end game assuming they go for Maz Kanata - Pirate Queen first. I still go back and forth wether to use it. I like your inclusion of Disarm as I am seeing a lot more recurring Second Chance Decks. That is basically worth 5 when it takes out an Ammo Belt.

Enfantterrible 171

@Bigulf .... Disarm has come in handy on so many occassions in this deck. Poe's 3 ranged can get rid of most stuff out there.

Enfantterrible 171

But for the sake of the argument - what would you guys take out to make room for Fast Hands?
